About the Directors
Jayne Almond Executive Chairman
Jayne has a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford. After university she joined Shell where she worked for 6 years prior to joining LEK Consulting, a leading strategy consulting firm where she became a senior partner and Head of LEK’s Financial Services practice.
In 1999 she joined Lloyds TSB where she had a number of roles including Managing Director of European Internet Banking, Director of Retail Banking Strategy and Group Marketing Director.
She left Lloyds TSB to join Barclays in 2003 where she became Managing Director of Barclays Home Finance division, which included Barclays/Woolwich mortgage business. She left Barclays to set up Stonehaven which was launched in August 2006.
Bob Avery IT Development Director
Bob has a degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers. He started his career working for British Telecom for 10 years, before transferring to Lloyds Bank in 1984.
Bob has 20 years experience in banking IT and Operations, having built many of Lloyds TSB’s credit and debit card systems. He was also responsible for building a standalone internet bank in Spain and developing Scottish Widows' mortgage systems.
He joined Stonehaven prior to its launch in August 2006.
Georgina Smith Managing Director
Georgina has a degree in Zoology/Genetics from Cardiff University.
Her first job after university was as a graduate trainee working for ICI Paints covering all aspects of marketing. She then joined Smithkline Beecham as a Senior Brand Manager, before working for Lloyds TSB in Brand Management and Communications for 5 years. Georgina left Lloyds TSB to join Orange where she was UK Brand Director.
Georgina joined Stonehaven prior to its launch in August 2006.
